We are a UK-wide group of ICM trainees who aim to facilitate and inspire audit, QI and research in intensive care.
We aim to coordinate national audit and research studies, and support trainees and ICM-affiliated clinicians in the development of projects that could be run across the UK.
This is a multi-centre randomised superiority trial and economic evaluation to determine the clinical and cost effectiveness of the use of supraglottic airway devices versus tracheal intubation during In-Hospital Cardiac Arrest. The trial will be conducted in the acute setting in NHS hospitals throughout the UK.

The EXTEND trial is comparing two antibiotic treatment strategies for patients with complicated intra-abdominal infection.
The two strategies are standard treatment, as decided by treating clinicians, and a fixed-extended-duration of 28 days antibiotics. The trial will start recruiting participants in July 2022
